Stylish Frames & Quality Lenses
Frames and lenses not only help you see better—they are an extension of your personality. You show off who you are to the world when you’re wearing glasses, and we want you to feel comfortable and confident whenever you wear them.
Our experienced optical staff can help pick out frames and lenses for every member of your family. We can guide you through many options based on your lifestyle, face shape, design preferences, and budget.
Frames & Lenses for All Face Shapes
With so many frames and lenses to choose from, it can be hard to make a final decision. However, you’re not making this decision alone. We can offer recommendations for frames and lenses based on your face shape and eyewear needs.
Our Frames
We have many frames available at our practice for any face shape. We can help you find a pair of frames that feel comfortable and look great. We have a guide for face shapes and their ideal frames.
The final decision is yours, but we can provide several options.
Square Faces
Square faces have an almost equal length and width. Slightly curved lenses with more horizontal space can help the face appear longer while softening sharp angles.
Oval Faces
Oval faces have balanced proportions but typically feature a slightly wider forehead. With high cheekbones, glasses should be wide and trace the browline. Diamond and rectangle frames complement this face shape.
Round Faces
A round face has the same width and length, so adding length can help accentuate facial features. Narrow and angular frames work well for round faces.
Heart Faces
Heart faces have a triangular shape. They typically feature a wide forehead with a pointed chin. Frames that are wider at the bottom can help balance this facial shape.
Diamond Faces
Diamond faces feature higher cheekbones with narrow eyes and jaws. Oval frames can help complement the features of this facial shape.
Spade Faces
Spade faces feature a narrow forehead and wide chin. Frames that are wider at the top than the bottom are a good choice. Cat-eye frames are a common choice for this facial shape.
Our Lenses
We offer several lenses at our practice, designed for different needs. Once you choose a lens, you can add several coatings, including UV protection, scratch-resistance, anti-reflection, and mirror coating.
Progressive Lenses
Progressive lenses are multifocal lenses, offering 2 or more prescriptions in a single pair of glasses. They provide a seamless transition between lens powers. You can enjoy clear vision from all distances.
Bifocals
Bifocals are multifocal lenses that hold 2 prescriptions, with the bottom of the lens for near vision and the top for distance vision. They typically feature a distinctive line separating the lens powers.
Trivex lenses
Trivex lenses are impact resistant. They consist of light plastic and are ideal for safety glasses, sports glasses, and children’s eyewear.
High Index Plastic
High index plastic lenses are for people requiring stronger prescriptions. These lenses used to be thick, but high index plastic allows for a thinner look. This material provides effective vision correction with lighter and thinner lenses.
Aspheric Lenses
Aspheric lenses are spherical, thinner, and flatter than traditional lenses. The design of these lenses allows you to utilize more of the lens.
Photochromatic Lenses
Photochromatic lenses are better known as tinted lenses. They change from clear to tinted as you move from low light to bright light environments, like indoors to outdoors. We offer photochromatic lenses in glass or plastic materials.
Polarized Lenses
Polarized lenses have a design for blocking glare from reaching your eyes. They block horizontal light waves, making them ideal for driving and playing sports.

OUR GOOGLE REVIEWS & TESTIMONIALS
I have had a positive experience with the Macumira treatment. I started with the four treatments in two weeks and have had a treatment every three months since that time. I have had improvement in my vision, especially in my weak eye, going from 20/200 to 20/70 and at the last treatment 20/60. I am always checking to see how I see in low-light situations, and that varies. The techs are very helpful and the doctors follow the progress of the patients. At the age of 74, I want to extend my quality of vision as much as possible.

“Maple Ridge eye care is awesome! The doctors there are very professional and personable. They walked me through everything they were testing on my eyes and so I felt very comfortable. They have a great selection of frames as well. The frames I got were fabulous and I’ve received so many compliments on them! All and all a great experience and I would highly recommend to anyone.”

“We had a great experience at Maple Ridge Eye Care! Dr. Matter was very knowledgable and personable. He took the time to answer all my questions and explain everything in terms I could understand. He was also great with my 3 year old son.”
Sharleen M.
“My wife and I have been going to Maple Ridge Eye Care for a number of years. We have since moved to Hope, BC and still continue to remain their patients. We have purchased many glasses from them over the years and have always received the best value for our dollar. Dr. Hurlburt and his staff have always provided the best and friendliest service, we would never trust anyone else with our eyes!”
Jeannette C.
“Although no longer a resident of Maple Ridge, I continue and will continue returning to Maple Ridge Eye Care for my eye care needs. The staff are the friendliest and most knowledgeable group I have had the pleasure of dealing with. The exams are very comprehensive and I feel confident that any and all eye sight issues (or related health issues) would be identified early and while they are treatable.”
